We need to apply our lessons from the Chatt first half and come out ready. Even though it is interim and some students are off campus, we should have great fan support for this home game.

I think we match up well with FU ... should be an energetic game.

This is a great game to watch tonight on national tv (ESPNU) if you can’t be there. Should be hard fought ... hope we execute well and play hard. Sold out, limited SRO at the game. Go you short-Haired Dogs!

Defensive plan and execution take us to 14 point victory. Lots of tenacity both teams. Keeping Lyons in check was a key.

That's how you get it done. Wire to wire. I love that we were an underdog at our place. Probably gave us a little extra juice.

Way to go, Terriers! A good old fashioned beatdown by Wofford tonight. Great effort against a great team and a great bounce back for the loss at Chattanooga.

Returned to the CLT airport around 5 and on the road for home around 6. Was able to hook up the feed to Thom and Jim in time for it to begin at 6:45 and listened to the whole first half before arriving home; so watched the second half on TV. When our team plays with that intensity on defense and rebounding we are a good team. We are not playing our best ball, but in some ways that helps develop other aspects of our game. For example, Chevez is getting a chance to become a real scoring threat. Trevor is really developing a reputation as a defender-as is Ryan. We are playing 10 guys without a letdown, and that is really putting pressure on our opponents. Our shooters have all been in slumps off and on during the season. When that changes our opponents had better look out. Storm is a gamer who gives it all out there on the floor. Isiah and Messiah continue to develop in so many ways. We have a good team, and I think our base is beginning to get over last year's GREAT team and embrace these guys. Jay and his staff are doing a wonderful job bringing these guys along. It was fun to see the students and fans show up and become a real home advantage.

Terrific game. Our guys played hard and smart. A bit of a tough stretch when Furman went to the zone trap in the second half -- we got out of sorts. But hung in there, got a couple stops that led to better looks for the offense. And then their trap gave Storm a chance to make the big highlight play, assist to Messiah....that was cool!

Wofford's defense was fabulous. I'm not sure exactly how we did it. From what I could tell, there was nothing clever or different -- just outstanding, in-your-face, gritty defense. Furman missed some makeable shots, sure, but we didn't let them get a lot of easy looks.

Chevy Goodwin was a stud. The pretty much couldn't guard him in the first half. Our guards had something to do with it, getting the ball to him close to the basket, where he could really maneuver. Furman did a better job in the second half, though he just barely missed a couple.

Hoover had one of his best games ever at Wofford, perhaps. He didn't go berserk. Just had 17. But he was 7-10 from the floor, and he made a variety of shots....he's very good at getting past the defense and making mid-range shots or even layups. He was very effective. I probably don't pick up on exactly what everyone's doing on defense as much, but I suspect his efforts were key there as well.

Other guys played well. Larson drawing charges. Bigelow airballed one from the corner, then swished a '3' from the same spot; blocked a shot on defense. Murphy put on a show for a stretch in the second half and was solid all night. Jones was tough. DTL played good minutes, had a nifty drive for a layup.

Just a very, very impressive win.

we lead the league in FG pct defense in conference, and second in points against.

with the issues we have had at times early, this team guards their butts off despite some size issues at spots almost every game. not one of our best shooting teams, but if we can start getting the ball inside like we did vs Furman it will open up outside looks and would imagine that improves.

I think ETSU still a step ahead of the pack at the moment, but wouldn't be surprised us ending up anywhere from 1-6. looking like a great shot at top 3 which would be coach of the year worthy IMO

etsu is really good. but they aren't as far away from others as I would have thought to start the year.

we played them a 1pt game not playing well offensively (although to their credit defense was some of it). VMI played them close in Johnson City, Furman beat them well. I think it's a wide open race.

KenPom thinks very highly of ETSU with UNCG and Furman not too far behind. However, they have us WAY back of the top three and not far ahead of Chatty and WCU. It is hard to argue that. We got hammered by Chatty and lost a squeaker to ETSU. We haven't really put many teams away. The game at WCU is a biggie.
