I think we also play Gardner Webb and SC State again. I think our series with Gardner Webb runs through 2020. I think we play Kennesaw State in 2021 and 2022 as well

THE USC game was unexpected. It was stated during the telecast of our last game in Columbia, that USC would fulfill our contract but schedule no further games as Will Muschamp did not want to face the option - I suspect he still has Georgia Southern nightmares.

I believe we will also play USC in 2022.

I think there's a state law somewhere and we're a better draw for them than the citadel

There’s no actual law. A few legislatures got mad about money going to out-of-State FCS schools and threatened to intervene and the schools voluntarily began rotations with Wofford, Furman, SC State and the Citadel (CCU and CSU weren’t part of the rotation).

It’s not like there are any FCS natch-ups out-of-State which would be more interesting.

Clemson started it ans then South Carolina followed. It works out for everyone. They spend less on travel for us and we benefit from having the repetitive dates and local exposure. I'm sure, in this case, it doesn't hurt that we have a scholarship offer extended to Muschamp's son.
