Get out a map and look for the first round site the farthest away from Spartanburg. ;)

Jax and Columbia would be the 2 closest but its a crapshoot and will be directly related to our seed.

The real question to me is how much the committee is going to rely on the NET and two polls for their seeding. If we are ranked 20th we should be a 5 seed. The nay sayers want to push us to an 8 seed, but that is probably not going to happen. I'll take a 5 or 6 seed and then look forward to showing the world Wofford College.

Depending on what happens later this week, I submit that it will be very possible for a second SoCon team to get into the tournament. UNCG is 26-6, with three losses to us, one to Ky, one to LSU and one to Furman ... no bad losses. A third would be defensible; Furman has an excellent team and record with a win over Villanova and UNCG and could also make a strong argument.

UNG would do well. They only have 3 non-Wofford losses. On the other hand, their only good wins are over ETSU and FU. I suspect the committee will look at the two blow-out losses to keep them out.

FU has a Villanova win, but Villanova is ranked lower than us. It's hard to see the committee picking FU over a team that beat them twice (UNCG).

For either to get in, a lot of bubble teams will have to do poorly over the next 5 days.

I'd love to see one of the other SoCon teams get in, but I still see the committee favoring junk teams from Power 5 leagues. At this point every team on the bubble has good points and bad points, but I still fail to see why team like Indiana are getting so many mentions as being on the bubble. A lot will be determined by the conference tournaments. Hopefully for teams like UNCG and Furman from our league and others in similar circumstances like Belmont there won't be too many upsets that gobble up at-large slots.

"And DOWN goes Gonzaga!" (Lost to St. Mary's in Western Conf championship.)

(No longer little!) Wofford now has the nation's longest running consecutive games winning streak for men's basketball!" =D>

This should garner additional spotlight on the SHD's.

And the only D-1 program to go undefeated against conference foes!

It's good for us, but bad for the SoCon.

Saint Mary's may well displace UNCG/FU from the bubble.

True, Walliver. There almost needs to be NO upsets for the SoCon to get another team in the tournament. The golden grail would be for one of our teams to be a 12 seed in the play in game. That would give the conference at least two games and perhaps more. If we are to build the reputation as a basketball league we need to bring in the cash from the NCAA tournament.

More and more sites proclaiming that the conference should get 3 bids. What a dream that would be, because I think any other two are capable of an upset. The talking heads have us seeded in a position that we wear white uniforms in the first game, so a win by Wofford would not be an upset.

Strong. No sugar coat or spin here. Pure SHD stuff here. These guys are telling it like it is/was. I'm sure this year's team appreciated this, was/will be inspired by it and will be able to contribute to something like this in the future based off their experiences. People who don't know Wofford won't get this at the same visceral level that Wofford people will.
