Nice recruiting class, inc. from Norway, Spain, and England. Hope they have talent; program really needs the boost ... has been trending downhill. http://woffordterriers.com/news/2018/2/ ... es-12.aspx

There are plenty of good players in the Wofford region. Don't know why we are recruiting foreign players. Word is no one from Wofford is present at regional recruiting opportunities. This program is in the dumper.

Fire the coach, whoever it is, for poor recruiting practices. I don’t really follow this program...they have never given me a reason to be interested.

Wish Kiah the best. We need to focus on finding a really top notch replacement ... there is a great one out there looking for a chance to show they can make our ladies team great. No reason not to have a top notch ladies program.

The current assistant coach, Eric Lewis, has been named interim head coach. Not a bad idea in view of the impending women's soccer season. Also suggests that he is well regarded by players and administration and that he has earned a chance to try to take this program where it needs to be. Do not know at this point who will be his assistant(s).

He has a lot of high school and college experience and connections with soccer talent in our part of the country, and elsewhere. As head coach at Guilford College for 11 years, his record was 101-109 -15 ... not great but we will see. He had better success at Louisburg JuCo. Did not have good four year record as coach at Lycoming before coming to Wofford as assistant. High Point U. alum. Hope he is the answer to this team's poor showing in recent years.

It seems to me that he has recruiting options at Wofford's level that he has not had in his earlier head coaching stints, and that he has a good chance for success ... maybe this is "his time". The incoming recruiting class is promising, and there is talent returning. Wish him the best!

I see that we tied Winthrop 2-2 in an exhibition Tuesday night, but I don't see any write up of the game. This was the first game since we changed coaches, so it has some importance. The first game of the season is only 9 days away, and our ladies play a number of games before school really gets going.

Currently 2-9-1 ... still awful. M and W teams a collective 3-15-1 ... inexcusable. As others have rightly said, including Boulder, soccer is a sport at which Wofford should excel.

Wake Forest, which is top ranked in men's soccer, is SELLING OUT their soccer stadium for the men's games and drawing pretty good crowds for the women's games. Wofford has a great facility; in the hub of campus; food nearby; easy parking, etc. The premier women's sport at Wofford should be soccer. The United States has a fabulous program for building good players from the kids who start. In the Carolinas on any Saturday and Sunday we have all seen the thousands of kids playing soccer all day long. The parents and grandparents travel the state, region and even the country with their boys and girls. For Wofford to be so weak is totally confusing. I know we all grew up on football, but soccer and lacrosse are coming, and we don't appear to be on the train.

Ladies lose two goal lead to fall in first round of tourney; another mediocre season, but Younginer shines. Sorry she is a senior.https://woffordterriers.com/news/2018/1 ... ament.aspx

Sad game. The halftime lead went away very quickly, along with the season.

Of the 34 players selected to first or second team all SoCon or all freshman team, Wofford had one ... Hayley Younginer, a second teamer (first team last year). UNCG had nine, other schools had five or six. Ominously, we had 0 on the all freshman team. We need to get some players, pure and simple ... no excuses. Is Alabama, where Samford is, really a soccer hotbed?? https://woffordterriers.com/news/2018/1 ... socon.aspx

Our women’s programs are like whack a mole: one gets better, another gets worse. Ladies deserve better.

Appears we are sticking with the current interim coach. I suppose there are good reasons for that which are not apparent. Need to show some genuine sustainable improvement soon.
