It's just a projection at this point, but not sure I've ever seen a publication take us this seriously...

Fletcher was named Player of the Week this week for the Socon, our one and only winner for the award this year finally equaling the totals of Chatt, Mercer, Western and Samford and UNCG. Still trailing El Cid, Furple and ETSU. What is really amazing is that Wofford and UNCG are now a combined 24-1 in the conference and each have 1 Player of the Week awards. This either speaks to the extreme depth on each of those teams or we are giving out some participation trophies in the conference, not sure which...

Another big time, and small school/undersized, scorer from our area. https://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2019/0 ... orers.html

Fletch was mentioned today in USA Today as one of five players “who will rise to the forefront in March”. Our man is getting good pub

BIG TIME NATIONAL EXPOSURE!! =D> =D>

The current Sports Illustrated (Feb. 25; pp. 66-67) features Wofford in the article, "Feeling Bullish" - an overview of teams who have a "a roster ready to ravage brackets in March Madness." In addition to the Terriers, Buffalo, UNCG, Murray State and Hofstra are mentioned. Our feature highlights Fletcher's shooting prowess, along with Nate and Storm. Coach Young recalls Steph Curry's raining threes in the Conference a decade ago and praises Steph for "what he has gone on to do...but, Magee is way up there."

Side note: highlights of the Wofford-Furman game were shown during yesterday's ESPN "At the Half" broadcasts.

Nice; yet, anticipate more attention on the team as it takes care of business in the weeks ahead.

I feel pretty confident that Fletch is going to break that all-time three point record now!

He and Cam first teamers too, and Coach Young coach of the year.

Silly (ridiculous really) that we had no one on second or third team ... Murphy, Aluma, or Hoover. Storm averaged 8 points, including two game winners, and had an incredible 92 assists to only 35 turnovers! 52% from the field, 48 % from three, 84 % from FT. Keve avg 6.9 rebounds and 6.8 points on 57 % shooting. Nathan scoring 13 ppg, 45% from three point, 92% ft line! Anybody who thinks we are a two man team is not paying attention.

It’s very ridiculous that Hoover did not get even third team. Murphy and Aluma are strong players too. And Ryan Larson played well as a freshman but got no mention. Oh well...next year they will learn these guys are all very good!

This article is both very favorable to us and also doesn't respect Storm and Keve much. If you read it through you would think we will be helpless next year. I suppose it is easy for outsiders to not realize the beast that Keve has become, or the superstar Nate Hoover can be on any given night. As Lawdog so properly reported above, Storm Murphy's stats are amazing-especially given the illness and injury he suffered. The glitzy and gaudy plays make the press, but the solid, workmanlike consistency is often overlooked. I'm not going to cheap shot the writer's picks, but we don't have anyone who loads up the stats or runs it up on weak teams. Our guys play for the TEAM, and the results speak for themselves. Personally I think we are LOADED next year and we have some guys who will surprise the league. Coach Young, Fletcher and Cam all deserve the accolades and have been very special this year. Best Wofford team ever? We shall see...

We likely won’t run the SoCon table again next year but we will be one of the teams competing for the SoCon championship.
