Uuugh, NDSU cannot, cannot, cannot play (successfully) in the FBS. Yeah, if the entire MVFC moved to the FBS, NDSU would be the conference champion and play in a bowl game sometime in mid December. But put them in a bowl game against any power-5 mediocre 6-6 team, and they'd get smashed! Uuuugh!!!

Just turned on the game at 55-13 with 1:32 left. Thought for sure it was the fourth quarter. Nope.

JMU beat SDSU badly, too. Hanging 55 and 51 points in the semis is clear evidence that both NDSU and JMU are heads above the rest of the division’s other best programs.

We may well have been the third best team in the FCS. Sad that we had to put it on the ground at the end of the first half. I have NO illusions that we could have beaten NDSU, but would like to see what the final would have been had we played our game. On the other hand, NDSU was just getting rolling picking apart our pitiful zone defense...

If we had had McAfee and played our game, including execution (read no turnovers), we had a good chance against them. Most likely outcome would have been 10-14 point loss; they are a very good team.
