The double bogey monster is on him. It happens to everyone. When it goes away life will get better.

William shot a very solid 66 this morning to put himself solidly in the mix over the weekend. His stats indicate it was a good round in almost every way. He played the front nine in a light rain, and then really turned it on the back nine. Maybe this will be a turning point for the rest of this season.

A 65-66 finish at the Barbasol moved William into the top 20-his best finish in quite awhile. He moved from making the cut on the number to T-12 at the finish. On Saturday he had a string of 5 birdies in a row and was hitting the ball very close to the hole. On his Sunday/Monday finish he started making putts; somthing that had eluded him for weeks. His long birdie putt on #18 was almost the total putt footage from the whole round on Saturday! If he keeps that putter going, this week in Canada could be fun; since he has two seconds on that course over the years.

Finished -11 for RBC Canadian Open; 12 strokes behind leader ant T24. Keep building points/momentum for balance of season; launch a solid run in playoffs.

William had the round of the tournament to finish at the Barracuda Championship in Reno. In the Stableford format he had 20 points in the final round, and will probably finish in the top ten. It would have been a 63 in regualr scoring-nine under par. This should put him in a position to make the playoffs again. William has made the playoffs every year he has played full time, which is a record to be envied by every tour player. It is obvious in following online that he is playing much better than earlier in the season, and he is starting to make a few putts and have some good things happen. He may be a lot of fun to watch at Greensboro in a couple of weeks. Too bad he is not in the PGA, because he is playing well.

Rough news, but William is nothing if not resilient. Needs to finish out this season well and go from there.
