I thought the point of playing in the summer league was to allow players to get out on the court in real game situations to improve their skills and to allow the coaches to make better evaluations??? have their minds already been made up before he even gets a chance???

Fletcher was playing just before half time and drains a 3 under pressure. Magee for 3!!!! Announcer says “if this dude was a gunslinger in the 1800’s, everyone would be dead!”

Magee ended up 5-8 from the field and 2-4 from 3 point land in 17 minutes. Impressive. Hopefully enough to push for more time on the court.

Ah man...Fletcher signs with a top level team in Spain. I guess they didn’t have a spot for him with the Bucks. Good luck Fletch!

At the risk of sounding like sour grapes, I do not think Fletch got the chance he deserved to play in the NBA — most prolific 3 point shooter IN HISTORY of college basketball, with one of the very best career percentages to boot. Color me disgusted with the NBA. He will do well overseas and may get his NBA chance later, but still ....

the NBA is so talented. it may look like on the court at times he didn't, but i'm sure they watch guys in practice too. one thing that seemed to be a deterrent in summer league was the d-2 kid (who by the way was excellent at times). he will get stronger and faster and more skilled even with just a year in Europe. I wouldn't be shocked to see him at summer league again next year. I noticed in watching there were guys I had never heard of (big 12 first team type guys) that couldn't find their way on rosters either. with first round guys guaranteed a spot, and likely no more than 2-3 spots on each team open we are really only talking about maybe 50-60 guys a year (Including former players, overseas guys, college players...) may be the hardest sport of the major 3 to crack a roster spot.
