RT, thanks for the info. I don't understand the logic about anything regarding NCAA rules!

Josh Conklin was the interview at the halftime of the basketball game last night and had a couple of things to say that were interesting. He emphasized that DB was perhaps the most critical need. Evidently there are two recruits (he didn't name them) who are enrolled for the second semester who will be eligible to participate in Spring Practice. Josh has high hopes that they will show the ability to compete at our level right away.

Here is an interesting link to which states have the highest percentage of their HS football players recruited by D 1 schools. A few surprises here. Stats available for other sports too. Fla. and Ga. 1 and 2; SC and NC 6 and 8.

We have a commitment from DE Micheal Mason 6'3' 235 from South Florence High School in Florence, SC. Helluva player, really athletic. Beat Furman and others for him.

Saw on Twitter that we have another commitment from John Harrington, Jr. out of Houston. Had been committed to Yale. Was offered by several Ivies but decommitted and came to us. 6'1" 160 listed as ATH.

I am wondering where the coaches will use Harrington. From his video highlights he is a good or maybe better QB. Quick, fast (4.34 40 time, 3.87 shuttle). Hudl shows him as WR, CB and not QB so I am wondering why is one of his highlight videos showing him a lot as QB. If he is recruited as WR or CB then that must mean WL and JC have an unknown recruit (unknown to me anyway) who is a better QB than Harrington. If that is the case then all I can say is wow !!! because Harrington looks very capable of handing the job. And I hope that is true. If so we will be set for quite a while at QB.
Anticipating/hoping for some unknown future stars to emerge tomorrow.

What a great looking young man. He seems like the kind of student athlete we love to have at Wofford. Wonder if one of our Wofford alumni in the area spotted him.

He is not listed on the Wofford Football site in the 2019 class. Did something change??

Still excited about the future of Terrier football!!!

Crabby this shows him as part of the 2019 class along with Michael Mason and the 19 signees that signed in December. Great class as the coaches did a good job of recruiting. However I am concerned that we did not get a QB. Coaches know what they are doing so i trust them. But I thought that we needed a QB in this class. https://woffordterriers.com/news/2019/2 ... class.aspx

Still have Newman, Mosley, Weirick and Thomas. Too many qbs leads to fewer reps for all. Plus, bringing in another one this year may send the wrong message to Weirick.
