The current assistant coach, Eric Lewis, has been named interim head coach. Not a bad idea in view of the impending women's soccer season. Also suggests that he is well regarded by players and administration and that he has earned a chance to try to take this program where it needs to be. Do not know at this point who will be his assistant(s).
He has a lot of high school and college experience and connections with soccer talent in our part of the country, and elsewhere. As head coach at Guilford College for 11 years, his record was 101-109 -15 ... not great but we will see. He had better success at Louisburg JuCo. Did not have good four year record as coach at Lycoming before coming to Wofford as assistant. High Point U. alum. Hope he is the answer to this team's poor showing in recent years.
It seems to me that he has recruiting options at Wofford's level that he has not had in his earlier head coaching stints, and that he has a good chance for success ... maybe this is "his time". The incoming recruiting class is promising, and there is talent returning. Wish him the best!
