There were not one or two, in the country, who shot it better, in my view. If given a chance on the right team, Fletcher can make the league. Regarding the Derrick role, I see Messiah Jones out of Chi-town filling that role well, earlier than later. Bigelow,and perhaps Larson, can do some of those things too.

Eric Boynton of the Herald Journal tweeted that Fletcher has a workout with the Lakers today.

"Clemson's Gabe DeVoe and Wofford's Fletcher Magee among six players who will take part in a draft workout for the Lakers Tuesday at the UCLA Health Training Center. #Clemson #Wofford"

This is a great opportunity for Fletcher. He gets private time with some of the best scouts in the business who will tell him what he needs to work on this year. This is exactly what he entered the draft to be able to do. Really neat.

Not a surprise, but very comforting. What a great experience for Fletch to get to workout for several teams and get advice from the best in the game. We all hope he will turn that experience into knowlege for the team next season.

My wife and I were in small town in SW Georgia at a country General Store. My wife saw a young girl wearing a Wofford sweatshirt when we drove up. We saw her and her family in the store. I was wearing my Wofford hat and I commented on the sweatshirt. I finally ask what's the connection. The woman says "my nephew plays basketball for Wofford." I'm like who's your nephew. She said "Fletcher Magee." Then I start fanboying out like an idiot. Also learned Fletcher has a 14yo brother who is already taller than Fletcher. Very nice people and such a random, Wofford treat.

It is interesting to me how many people know about Fletcher already. The UNC game last year got a lot of exposure, but he is the real deal. A friend who is a pro scout says everyone in the NBA knows about him.

This was surprising. I think in part they are missing their big anchor/defender in the middle who got injured. It has thrown off their rhythm.
