2018 Recruiting

Saw on Twitter this weekend that we have a Commitment from Messiah Jones, 6'5" Wing from Chicago Simeon which is a legendary program in the Windy City. Originally was committed to Drake U. but has changed to us. Not sure how we are signing all these guys but bring 'em on!

I like him a lot. Gives us a little of what we don't have. Super athletic, shot blocker, rebounder. Uses both hands well around the basket. Not sure if he can shoot from outside, but we have plenty of those guys this year.

Great news. Messiah Jones will be an excellent fit for the Wofford Terriers, part of something special!

The Wofford campus on a nice spring day is hard to say no to.

Two time city (Chicago) champion, 17 ppg, 9 RPG. Loves to bang down low.

Wofford has certainly had some success with 6-6ish, athletic post players.

It does look like a really strong class.

I'm still kind of wondering where 3 scholarships come from -- Brooks and Lowery....anyone else? I wonder how things are shaping up with Fletcher?

Three scholarships came from the two guys leaving and one open scholarship we already had. We are now using all scholarships.

Another loss to the team is Hickert who is transferring to North Greenville to play baseball per twitter.

Too bad to lose Hickert; he could have contributed. He is a fine pitcher; wonder why he is not doing baseball for us. Wish him well, good kid.

Dishon Lowery is transferring. Looks like we have one more scholarship to give, unless it was given to Cottrell.

This is not surprising concerning Lowery. It seemed more and more like he did not fit into a prominent future plans. Good luck to him. But it seems like with have some quality signees coming aboard. Hopefully they can make our team stronger and deeper. And hopefully they can play good defense.

He will be at Oklahoma Baptist.
