OK, got our clock cleaned tonight. We need Cam back. Don't we have 4 games in the next week or so?

Not a bad loss, all things considered. ETSU is good and we definitely missed Cam Jackson.

I'm officially questioning our personnel decisions though. Storm Murphy hasn't been in foul trouble the last two games or so and he has been on the bench way too much in my opinion.

On top of that, I think the officiating missed some calls on both sides tonight, the total fouls for both teams felt way below the average.

Gotta get better...

Without Cam, we had no shot from the get-go. I do not know this for sure, but I suspect the Wofford basketball staff probably knew all along that he wasn’t going to play but they kept it a secret- don’t want to risk losing any ticket sales. I strongly suspected this might happen and I therefore did not attend the game. And I am glad I didn’t. I know Cam’s injury couldn’t be helped, but the people that bought tickets for this game kind of got bamboozled in a way. They did not really get to see the Terriers at their best when the absolutely HAD to be, playing the league’s top team and all. Hopefully we can play these guys again in Asheville at full strength and have a shot at them then...we ain’t winning in Johnson City. Not unless Zion Williamson suddenly has a change of heart and then joins the team early.

Even with our poor shooting we were only 5 down late; our crowd was very supportive.

I just saw that we have three games next week. It is that stretch that we have 4 games in 8 days and back to back against the best two teams in the league in the middle of that series. We have plenty of season left, and time to get better. Who knows, ETSU could have some visas revoked...

Maybe Trump will deport some of them. And there’s always the chance of academic ineligibility or criminal activity getting a player off their active roster...

I think ETSU is good enough and has produced the wins this season that the only way they lose is either with a very very off night randomly or deep in the Socon tourney, kind of like Kentucky a few years ago when they were undefeated or the Warriors when they had the best record in NBA history.

Five senior starters and a good bench. They are good to say the least. Brought a lot of loud fans too. But better to lose to them in January than March. Maybe?

As was said early in the season, the key to our team is Cam. If he is healthy and plays hard we can beat anyone. Without him we have to have nine others play awfully well to win. We still have a very good team that is capable of getting to the dance. It is becoming possible that if ETSU continues its run but stumbles in the tournament we could be a two team league. If ETSU runs the table they could be a relatively high seed. Their RPI continues to rise.

What I hate is that we have absolutely no clue when Cam is returning. I don’t know a ton about it, but I guess that’s just the way concussion protocol is. But i’s kind of a helpless feeling being in the dark about it because he really is essential to our team’s success. Still, the future of a great young man is in the long run far more inportant than that, so I am behind being careful with him 100% and I don’t want that to get twisted. It’s just disappointing he can’t play andd I hate to lose, and I very much hate to lose with less than our best on the court...you always wonder what might have been.

Pegram and Aluma played well enough for us to win. Our poor shooting and defensive lapses at key times were our downfall. ETSU is very good, but beatable. We will beat them before this season is over.

ETSU barely escaped The Citadel tonight by 2 points. Amazing! They can be beaten...There is hope for Asheville.

UNCG whooped them last night. And we owe UNCG, big time.
