To put things in perspective, in the last 10 years Western Carolina, Furman, the Citadel, Samford, UNCG, Mercer and VMI have beaten us a combined 4 times at home (4-41).
3 of those games were in OT. The one that wasn't was decided by 2 points. ETSU's win Saturday was pretty special in the sense that the only current Socon team to handle us like that at home has been Chattanooga (5 of the 10 conference losses we have in the last decade was to them).
Western, Furman, Mercer, VMI, UNCG and Samford haven't beaten us at home in like 5 years.
The preponderance of these trends plus the fact that I think we're easily a better team than the last two years (though I honestly couldn't tell you why) makes me feel optimistic about the remaining games at home. We could lose one of these games, sure, but I like our chances just given the raw trends and where we are as a team right now.
Now, if we lose tonight with Cam's absence, or hit a sporadic and or negative trend, I think that speaks to how important Cam is for our success.
