Game notes. Horton is only one listed as out for USC. Wish it were otherwise mostly for the players because it has to be disappointing to be injured for this game. http://athletics.wofford.edu/documents/ ... tes_17.pdf

I wouldn't be surprised.

Better safe than sorry.

I liked how the backups played against VMI. I can't remember names but #47 and #38 were FAST through the gaps

Looking at the Sagarin ratings if I am reading them correctly the gamecocks should be favored by about 22 points. But you never know what will happen in a game until the players actually get on the field and start playing. Go Terriers !!!!!
Here is a podcast video of the gamecock guys. If you are not interested in their talk about the home team then FF to 21:25 when they start talking about Wofford.

That’s Hinton and Rountree. And yes they are fast. I really like Hinton in coverage and getting to the edge. He played a lot late last year when Stewart and Patterson were out.
I too have heard Wilson, Clemons and Horton will be held out.
Fingers crossed Horton gets back for playoffs.

The key to keeping it close will be to avoid 3-and-outs. Our defense has kept us in a lot of games when the offense sputtered, but the offense needs to step up and at least make a first down or two on every series, something we have had great difficulty doing this year.

Favorite quote: "I'd rather play Bama".

GO TERRIERS!!!

They say some nice things about Ayers and the SHD’s. Love the one about Coach being a tough guy who will fight the devil with a broomstick, or some such.

Sounds like Wofford has bought its allotment of the seats; looking forward to some first hand accounts.

Game on 4 p.m., SEC + network ESPN affiliate.

These announces seem to be alternating between backhanded compliments and outright dismissal of our boys today.

"This front 7 is salty! They're pretty good... For an FCS team."

I understand the talent gap but this game isn't as lopsided as they seem to think it is.

Hey Listen guys...we have our ILB's out and our NT out with Mono. Roundtree and Hinton look damn good. We have a true freshmen starting at NT. Say what you will but we are playing man up with an SEC team...I am stoked for the playoffs.

Great effort in first half. Other than the unfortunate pass for an int, we have kept it very close, 14-3. We have kept pretty good pressure on their QB, despite it seems to me their routinely getting away with reaching out and holding our pass rushers. Focus. Effort.

Not a bad half. Very competitive. They got the advantage on the INT. LEts play another good half. Making a good account of ourselves. Need to connect on a couple big plays. Random thing to watch...where we are a "Running Team' Teams get away with murder with how they play our receivers....hold us grab us bang us all the way down the field, its like a conditioned mental approach from the refs and everyone else that we don't deserve the same types of calls on pass plays as traditional passing teams. That pass interference against us was weak at best....then they are all over our receivers down the field.....is what it is...

Lets keep battling.

Missing lots of our core defensive unit our guys are really battling......we look good.

I'm not disappointed with this effort. I just hope we get out of this one without any injuries now.
