I chuckle when reading these posts... You would think we were about to join the bottom half of the league... I agree with the post above... Have not shown a lot... I love the way this is playing out for a trip down 26 to see The Cocks... Terriers 34-17... Happy Homecoming!!!

I'm just not sure I buy that we haven't used stunts or blitzes or whatever. The season is half over and I doubt the coaches are holding back to unleash the playbook against the powerhouse of Virginia Military Institute

I am looking for us to play our best game. The brightest lights bring out the best in this team. Put us on the biggest stage and watch how we perform when the game is on the line, and watch other teams crumble in those championship minutes. This team has earned its way, it digs depp when other teams look to escape the pressure of the moment. GIVE ME MY T DOGS EVERY TIME!!!!!!!

We win again this Saturday.....Send the SoCon the message about our intentions this season......We are championship worthy, and deserving and to do that you have to win the tough games. It is time to separate the contenders from the pretenders.

GO DOOOOOOOOOOGS!!!!!!!!!!!

Every game is a playoff game, but this one is a bit bigger since Samford is probably the best team remaining on the schedule. If Wofford wins, then the tie breaks for the best teams are in our favor. If Wofford loses, then we are still playing for a share of the title and hoping someone else knocks off Samford to give us the outright title. I'd really love to see us run the table and take the championship with an unbeaten conference record like 2003, but with the parity and talent in the SoCon these days that is a big challenge, but one that the Terriers have met so far. I'm hoping for a little running room early and some luck keeping their WR's in front of us. If that pans out then I like our chances. There's just no way we can get away with getting down by more than one score, penalties (miscues or personal fouls) or turnovers and still be successful in this one.

Stats can drain the life out of your "fandom." We need to understand what they mean and what we can learn from them, but they are not 100% indicators of who will win the game. Sometimes we hedge our bets, not wanting to say our belief that Wofford can win because we have done that before and they lost...and we were disappointed.

It is a very overused phrase these days, but until we find/invent another one, it will have to do:

It's time to be all-in.

Let's do this thing.

Go T-Dogs!
or as I heard somebody say one time: "fight the fight today...there are going to be times when you are going to be whipped, but stand up, fight again, and fight again. There's four quarters and we aren't going to lay down, get down or be put down... we are going to fight the fight...
"There are things that you value and things that you will fight for. That is what today's all about. We fight for that short-haired dog and that name across your chest." Mike Ayers

Candidate for post of the year right there.
Impeccable timing, DJ.
Believe me when I say, the coaches and players know exactly what is on the line and where things stand.
I don't know if we will win or not but I know this for certain:
Samford better buckle it up because they are in for a helluva fight.

And that's as much as we T-fans can ever ask for.

As Thom Henson said Saturday night, Wofford's best defense against Samford (and anybody for that matter) is rushing for 4 yards every play.

They are in our house, and the big dog is hungry. We will fight the fight, for each other.

Hopefully we'll have a nice crowd for this game. 6-0 team. Clemson is idle. USC idle. Homecoming. Perfect forecast. No reason we don't have a huge crowd. Hopefully the locals come out to support the Terriers like the do with the basketball team. Hopefully the students will all attend and get LOUD! Would really be nice to have a significant home field advantage. Can't wait until Saturday!

As an outsider, what is a "good" crowd for Wofford? I ask because I am frequently amazed at how sparse the crowds have been for some of the top-tier programs the last several years. I know Wofford is a small school, so that is at least part of the equation. But a school like UTC is relatively big, has had lots of success in recent years, and they still struggled with attendance. I also realize this seems to be an epidemic around college football in general other than at the highest FBS levels, but I'd expect even locals to get on-board and help fill the stands with a top-5 team in a fairly populated area like Spartanburg. Do you guys expect 10k or more tomorrow?

10K might be a stretch, even for homecoming weekend. I’d say maybe 8-9K will be in attendance.
