Meanwhile back at the (curse all this rain, again) swamp. Seems a few of you are concerned about the play calling against PC. To me it seemed business as usual for WOF. With the exception of a couple of attempted flea-flicker plays, the coaching staff called a "normal" offensive game. Lots of FB dives, a few passes, a few options.....usual. The fly-in-the-ointment is execution. WOF came out of the blocks like a big fat buffalo, stomped around some, and then took care of business. 31-7 was a decent showing IMO. PC threw the ball up and down the field some, but never was it a threat. When we stumbled from time to time, it was ugly. But all in all.....a good win.

Now comes WCU and like everyone WOF has played so far, will want to beat the Terriers in the worst way. Can't afford to be flat or listless at the onset. Gotta execute, gotta be physical, and gotta play wide open every minute...........gonna be a good one.......go Terriers!

+1. Don't forget the McAfee HB pass ... really pretty. Need to play with high energy from the outset. May need a few more substitutions than usual to stay fresh.

The HB pass was a thing of beauty. Great call right there

We need to do more like this with our passing game, off of misdirection and fakes/similar looks from our successful running game.

The Furples are getting better at that. Simple and quick ... before the D can react.

One thing I come back to is that we have not shown much with our offense. We have been pretty base. And that’s a good thing. LAW that’s a great example and we have that package and many more. I think our playbook will be expanding beginning this week. Back to work week. This can really lock in our footing in the SoCon Race.

I didn't see the game, but heard parts on the radio.

It seemed as if we did quite poorly on special teams. We kept getting the ball inside the 20 and they kept getting it at the 40. We will need better field positioning to beat Western.

LD, I like that play. What I would like to see is the use of either of our two other QB's in the backfield in run or throw capacities. We saw one run by Miller Mosley, and we know Newman can run. I say use all three in different sets and trick 'em up. We have great receivers who can catch it whether they are open or not. Use the talent we have to unleash total confusion on opposing defenses.
