Guys, thanks for keeping us up to date on what is happening down there. Most, if not all, of the incoming freshmen have been on campus for the summer so I think our veterans know what they look like and can do. Personally I would like to think that Patterson and Roach will be the best male cheerleaders in a long time! If either had a desire to become a coach on any level they will get the experience they need.

I hope that we will employ the gifts/skills of both or 3 of our qbs on a consistent basis this year, like we did in the Zolman/Rodgers days.

Newman deserves to play after how he rescued us last year and would be a good change of pace. And by all accounts Mosley would be a very interesting/exciting extra option.

We are the hunted this year and need to keep all of our opponents off balance and guessing.

I agree with keeping opponents guessing and off balance. One way to do so is fewer fullback dives.

Funny how some years we are preaching 'find a QB and stick with him' and others we are 'it's ok with me if we play 2 or 3 QBs'. I guess it all has to do with the level of talent and confidence in all that talent. I think we're all comfortable with at least the top 2 we have available to take snaps - maybe more as we move into preseason.

Hey mudrat,

How about the first play of the season being fake to the fullback and a pass to TE or Taylor on the edge. Furman would not be expecting that.

If we didn't run a fullback dive on play 1, Vegas would go bankrupt.

First play of season being a fullback dive is the lock of the century. That is perfectly fine with me mind you. It's the 47 more that follow it that raise my eyebrows and stresses me right on out.

Any of the above; or a screen to #22 (he's fast), or a throw back to a slot WR, or flood the zone and go deep to any WR? Wouldn't that be a gas?!!!

Yesterday we took my grandson down to the opening practice day for the Panthers. When we were leaving we drove past the JRIS (amazing addition, by the way) and on the field next to it was a team practicing apparently without coaches, but well organized. Could that have been our Terriers out there about 7:45?
