Let me say this again: Mosley is a game changer for us. He and Newman are going to make us very very happy.

Who would have ever thought we might have too many QB's on this team? What a great problem to have. Last year we were worried about how to finish the season when we burned the redshirt on Newman. How things have changed...

Hmmm, 4.4 eh? Call me cynical if you will, but only 9 NFL draftees ran 4.4 or better in the whole 2017 NFL combine.........! Maybe the really fast guys stayed home!?!

So true. In retrospect, "burn" may have been the wrong term. He gained a lot of great playing experience and confidence that will stand him in good stead this year, and played a key role in a playoff win for us in the process. Very excited about his future, and the future of our other new QBs, for that matter.

I don't know what Mosley ran/runs in the 40 but he looks pretty quick to me on his hs highlights.
"4.4" logically could mean 4.40 a 4.49. I could easily see him running around a 4.50 give or take a little.

4.4 might be stretching it a little but only a fraction of a sec. His coach said he was a 4.4 guy and Hudl says he ran the 40 in 4.43. Hudl also says he benches 300 and squats 425. Not bad at all for a guy that weights 180. All that and he is a very smart kid with offers from all three service academies and Brown. I agree with Ruckus - he is hands down a game changer. With Mosley and Newman I would not want to be on D for the opposing team. An interesting note as ld said in an earlier post is that Mosley and McPherson will be reunited. Some of videos for either Mosley or McPherson show the other player in the same video. McPherson already a Terrier must have had something to do with Mosley's decision. I am just glad that Mosley decided to be a Terrier.

One of his greatest attributes is depth of experience. He has been a winner, has successfully run our offense a lot, and has exercised team leadership a lot; that is huge in our offense. The same is true of Newman. BTW, does Mosley have to sit out a year?

ld you hit the nail on the head. For a QB, team leadership is one of his most important attributes. Goodsen also seems to have it as well as Newman. Mosley being a leader just adds to his credentials

I don't know if he has to sit out a year. I am assuming he does not. Here are two articles on the subject. http://www.athleticscholarships.net/nca ... ptions.htm https://www.quora.com/Why-do-NCAA-athle ... ansferring

Actually there has been a lot of discussion about transfers lately at the highest level. With NCAA athletes deciding to use the courts to gain more and more rights, you can bet that the right to transfer and not sit out will be coming soon. Not really sure how it will apply to us, because we may lose good players who may have been overlooked by the big boys. On the other hand we could benefit the other direction as well.

Some good questions to ponder. Me thinks El Cid has lost too much talent to be the team they were last year...but may make some strong improvements later in the season. Mercer may be the fly-in-the-ointment this season. They can for sure run the ball well, but the passing game may be their forte. The Mocs will need a bit more time to get it together with the new coaching staff, but make no mistake, they'll get better pretty quickly. That leaves the Terriers in the best position to be top dog in the SoCon. They get after it in the first 2 conference games, and look out! And with the upcoming talent on board, they could be the "the man" for quite awhile........yippee!
