The team had a bit of a rough stretch. We battled tough but lost at USC, and then lost two of three in the mountains last weekend at WCU against a very good Catamount team that we always seem to have trouble with. Then we dropped a couple of midweek games at Winthrop and USC-Upstate. Now I knolw midweek games don't mean a whole lot in the grand scheme of things, but I'm tired of losing to Upstate. It just irks me to see them beat us in any sport. And it just seems they've had our number in baseball forever- and they're not that good of a program. But enough on that. We finally got to return to the friendly confines of King Field- and made the most of it with a great 5-4 victory over SoCon-leading Mercer! Way to go guys! We have a doubleheader tomorrow against the Bears- they will be the last home games of the 2017 season, so come out and support our guys if you can. We finish the regular season with three at The Citadel next weekend. Go Dogs!
