Murphy looks really quick, with great ballhandling skills. It'll be interesting to see how he matches up physically (he's pretty small) and defensively.

Competition for the point guard role should be intense -- and could be the difference for WoCo next season.

I would guess that Derrick Brooks may be the opening game starter at PG in November just by virtue of his being a senior and having the most college experience and that Theme-Love will be his main backup, with the freshmen playing more sparingly to start off with. Of course Theme-Love (or even one of the freshmen) could eventually earn the starter's roll but I don't think it will start out that way. I could also see either Storm Murphy or Hollowell getting a redshirt; those two may be battling it out in practice for a chance to play this coming season, with the loser of that battle sitting it out.

Hickert is a little under the radar. However, agile and mobile, very good touch, good team and league, 17 ppg. Promising. Cannot find much on his defensive skill set. Well spoken.

Who knows, Grayson could turn out to be our best recruit of the year! Sometimes the guys that fly under the radar become gems.

Grayson (a/k/a Goose, also a good baseball pitcher) apparently has a teammate, Troy Cracknell, we have also shown interest in.

How are we fitting these new additions into our class? Anyone know of any impending transfers?

Ah yes, forgot that both were transferring out. Thanks for the reminder Ruckus. Too bad about losing them- it would have been nice to have some bench players returning who had played some minutes but I suppose Wofford's not for everyone.

I watched some video of that Cracknell guy -- he looks like a REAL good player. I think he could help.

On our current 2017-18 roster, not counting 2017 signees, we have nine athletic scholarship players (maybe just eight, if Manning is on some other sort of scholarship, being a top student). Signees Murphy, Alema, Hollowell and Hickert make thirteen. D-1 rules allow a maximum of thirteen. If one more offeree (Hemming? Cracknell?) accepts an athletic scholarship that means Manning is not on an athletic scholarship. Brooks is our only scholarship player graduating in 2018, so we will have only one scholarship available for the 2018 recruiting class. We would have a great group surrounding that 2018 offeree ... Williamson?
