Driving, Crabby. Yeah....I know.
Staying at the Hampton Inn in Boardman right around the corner from the team (Holiday Inn).
Washing roasted penguin down with bourbon will not be a problem.

I don't know about them throwing the ball around anymore on us than Jack St. They ran the ball 40 times last week for 205yds and threw it 19 times for 315yds. When they look closely at WOF's defense, they may decide to throw it more, but then again they may try to play keep-away and run it just as much as last week. Its for sure, we'll have to be keen on their passing game. After watching YSU vs Jack St., it seems to me that WOF is head a shoulders better on defense than Jack St. And after watching the CID game, and I don't know who else saw it, but the CID coaching staff on the sidelines were tired and shocked (as the players) at the end of the 3rd qtr. They were gassed going into the final qtr. and wanted no more of the Terriers. Hit them flightless birds hard, early and often.....and this one's in the bag!

Good call on the Cid stamina. I thought they wore down too especially after looking fresher than us to start the game. We definitely got stronger as the game went on.
Will the weather play into their game plan? I feel sure they will want and expect to line up and stuff it down our throats, all things being equal. Their strength is our strength so should be very interesting.

Wonder if roasted penguin tastes like chicken?

It's a fish eater so I'm betting it's more like merganser... you will need more than a nice bourbon to wash it down.

May need a second one, or a dram of Lagavulin.

In gathering some background info for the game I checked out Bo Pelini's Wikipedia page. I know everything on that site isn't the Gospel, but two things became evident:

#1 Bo Pelini is a defensive football genius and a heck of a head coach. (the results speak for themselves)
and
#2 Bo Pelini has serious trouble knowing when to hold his tongue. (this is me being overly diplomatic, and yes, the quotes speak for themselves)

I couldn't be prouder of our program and the way it conducts business on and off the field. I am far from a prude when it comes to language, but there are lines that can't be crossed and it is nice to know that some programs can tell the difference between what can and can not be tolerated.

Goodson is listed as questionable for Saturday but not ruled out per TS article in H-J today.
Pelini is a local boy done good (I think he is from Western Pa) but a bit of a loose cannon. Things didn't end well for him in Nebraska.
His faux Twitter page "NotBoPelini" is a complete hoot BTW.
YSU is no joke; we will need to play our best game of the year in hostile freezing conditions. Biggest test so far.

I will be interested to see what we try to do offensively if Newman is the starter. I would love to see some new wrinkles and see us get outside more with his speed, but since they haven't given Goodson much latitude, I would expect the playbook would stay pretty conservative again (read: "a day full of back to back to back FB dives for no gain"). Surprisingly, Citadel threw it a lot more than they usually do and a lot more than we did.

True, but they also threw (albeit poorly) a few fade routes near the end zone.

I also noticed a lot of high snaps when we were in the pistol, not to mention the one by the long snapper on Marvin's last FG attempt. I hope we tighten that up. Bad snaps and cold hands are not a great combination.
