Excited to see the SHDs play @American Airlines arena Saturday afternoon. Will have a couple relatives (UM alum) in tow.
Terrier fans planning to attend, please send me a PM; would be great to say hello.

I can't get that excited. I don't think we have any chance of winning. I hope the team proves me wrong, but I don't think it's going to happen. Nothing I have seen on that court this season gives me any reason to think we can hang with the Canes. Miami 82, Wofford 56.

We will be lucky to hang with SoCon teams.

At this point I don't think we could hang with many of them. A lot of improvement is needed.

Lost 74-57...I did not see the game as I was out in the yard getting leaves up all day...but my predicted score was not far off. We just aren't a very good basketball team at this time.

We got off to a very poor start. We continued to play hard and made a run, then did not finish well. Our shooting is off this year. One reason is other teams are able to get some open shots but we are not.

From sunny and warm weather in Miami past couple of days only to return home tonight and have 2+ inches of snow on the ground. Say it isn't so!!

Though the score was unfavorable at the American Airlines arena Saturday, 'twas a great evening... A 3-part affair:
I. Team went from icy cold shooting start (and Canes capitalized) to finding a nice groove/gear
II. Hustle, solid passing and rebounding by the SHD's helped cut the deficit to 5 with about 15 mins left in 2h
III. UM had definite size advantage and experience - though Jackson, Pegram, Sawvell and Lowery banged with their bigs as the game wore on. The Canes quick, tall guards were able to penetrate and make some shots @1 or 2 seconds on shot clock (with a Terrier at their hip)
Notable: Effort by the T-Dogs to the end.

Take-away:
* Team continues to mature and get a feel for their defensive sets and plays. Would be awesome to have a 4-2 record, even better; yet, I'm expecting this group to be a force in the SoCon. It's a process...

Highlights:
* Had a small and spirited crowd of Wofford fans making noise in the AAA.
* Great to meet several of the players' parents and faculty.
* Hosted the team for dinner at Versailles - most famous Cuban restaurant. Awesome food/time!
* Caught the football playoff game on cell phones just in time to see Devin Watson take it to the house and seal the win. Big WooHoos, clapping in the Restaurant.

Let's get back on track and win tomorrow.
