This is written as a parent and fan of the Wofford Terrier football team this season. I want to tell you how proud of you all that I am. I am so appreciative for your fight and toughness this season. You have endured more hardship over the last few seasons then I could remember in some time. And this season has been no different To lose Evan and Brad early in the season, to lose Michael and Jp to what could be career ending injuries, to deal with all the injuries that occur on top of those across the board and to be sitting here at 7-3 and to be honest, what should be 9-1. You have not been outplayed in any one single game this season......literally. You have lost 2 games that you have dominated.......and you do all of this amiss dealing with some of the toughest academics in the country. The coaching staff has endured tough seasons, to recruit players that meet the academic requirements but still can compete at this level. You have coached these youn men up to play to the best of their abilities, you motivate these young men to better men.
You have put together such a special group and team, it has been one of the more fulfilling seasons because so many people have doubted you, especially many from our own fansbase. Wofford fights for identity annually and you have embraced that fight and I want you to know that we as fans and family appreciate all you have given and sacrificed to put this product on the field. I am so proud of you and can't wait to hear your name when they announce your name for the playoffs. Can't wait to send teams home during the playoffs and set up what should be a championship team next season.
This is the program we chose to be apart of and we love it.
