Everybody, I'll try to be as concise as I can, while also respecting my son's privacy:
We as a family certainly appreciate Wofford College and everything that it stands for. The alumni are as good of fans as any in the country. I appreciate all of you for being so loyal to your school and to this football program.
I waited until the news came out that Chris had left the team before I said anything out of respect for him. It happened within hours of my last post a couple of days before the Tn Tech game. All I'll really say is that I was as surprised as anyone. Only Chris truly knows the reason for the decision and I have left it at that. I will admit I am very disappointed.
Those of you with grown children will certainly understand this: your kids hit a certain age and there's nothing you can tell them once they've made up their mind to do something.
We have a great coaching staff and I am proud they coached my son.
We will continue to support all things Wofford. It has truly been a great time.
Honestly folks he's not on the team anymore, hasn't been since before they even played a game this year, so I would certainly appreciate everyone just moving on. Concentrate on the guys that are there and continue pumping them up. They deserve your support.
I've enjoyed interacting with everyone. I've appreciated everyone's kind words about Chris. I'll still be around and keeping an eye on the Terriers.
Go Terriers!!!!
