Looks like a lot of posters went to bed early! Ole Miss overwhelmed FSU in the first half with their quickness and pace of play on offense and defense. Once FSU had a half time to work it out they shut out Ole Miss and hammered them on offense. Still, we have to be ready for that pace of play; and at their place no less.

But FSU used the experimental technic of passing the ball in the second half. Maybe we can look into that type of play.

Ole Miss was lightning fast up front. If we don't come up with an answer for that, they will have a buffet in our backfield, regardless if we run or throw.

Right 94, and with that, we absolutely must be able to throw the ball to the sidelines on some quick pass plays. Those guys (Ole Miss.) get to the outside on run plays like very few teams can. We need some misdirection plays, some short pass plays, some quick slants, and really tough play on the LOS. Our secondary defense (I fear) is in for one tough day. All that being said, something tells me we'll be OK. Please, no injuries, please!

We will need to be able to withstand early haymakers from a hungry Ole Miss team this Saturday. They will want to come bury us from the very onset. If we can find a way to get off of the field on defense and start grinding on them with our offense, we can frustrate them as they could be in a fragile mindset after what took place Monday. I am not saying that we beat them, but if you can hang around long enough they could start to implode a little due to the pressure of not living up to the early hype. Now they are really good up front and very fast on defense, we will need to put together some drives.

Really enjoyed the interview of Coleman Hornaday on the Ole Miss radio show. He certainly was a very articulate and informative interview and representative of what Wofford would want. I don't know how he got the insights he presented, but he was right on target. For a young recent Wofford student he understands what happens in the athletic department very well.

We need to avoid giving up big plays, and focus on what we do well, including throwing a pass as necessary. There is experience and talent on our team. Got a chance. We will give great effort and hold our heads high.

Two events mark the beginning of wisdom for a young man: you lose a competition you were sure you would win, and you win a competition you were sure you would lose. And you realize all you can do either time is prepare carefully, then focus and do your best.

Finally get to see the team play on SEC channel out here in Utah.
While we are proudly wearing our Terrier gear, watching the first half have to agree with T-Dog 4.
Their WR are huge and fast, and the secondary is playing 5 years plus off them.

And the tackling needs to be buttoned up like RIGHT NOW as the 2nd quarter starts.
Good luck to the season.

May we meet in Frisco soon,

Vegas is giving 44 points. Normally I would be all over that, but watching the game so far, very likely.

I hope we can keep it respectable, but biggest concern is coming out as healthy as possible.

It's hot down there, and injuries happen a lot more often when fatigue sets in.

I get a sense we are going to be just fine Vs. FCS opponents. OL looks awesome so far. Big time Ole Miss passing game of course.

Wish we would at least throw 1 (just 1) pass to a WR. On a pace for our usual 6 passes per game.....ugh!
