If indeed there are several players on campus early, are any of you SHD fans familiar with what they can and cannot do as far as practice and workouts are concerned? And with the Panthers coming to town on 7-29, how will that affect the players? Thanks!

Mud, all they can do is lift weights and conditioning, no on field contact with coaches, until official practice starts in early August. Once practice starts team is in the stadium and on the soccer fields until the Panthers leave.

Tnt2 good luck to your son this year. This is his last year correct ? He could be a player that has a very good year as he is capable of it. A favorite play from last year was against Tn Tech when that speedster Van Lear ran a punt or KO back and almost broke it wide open. If it had not been for #2 he might and probably would have gone all the way. But #2 stopped him with some very impressive footwork as well as his own speed.

Thanks LT!! Yep this is it for my guy, he walked in May, with a couple of classes left, and the upcoming season. Seems like he's been around forever, but at the same time it feels like yesterday he walked out there to start as a redshirt freshman against Baylor, scared to death. They're working hard and getting ready for what we hope will be a playoff season. It's been a great 4 years with another fun football season to go.

As 19 would say, CAN'T WAIT!

About the size of his coach when he played HB as a sophomore and junior.

Let me spell this out. Ruckus called Riazzi "a load." In my reply, I was referring to Romero, the biggest-framed HB we've ever had. As a senior in 2008, Romero switched to FB and had an outstanding season. Now, the good-sized old HB (Romero) will be coaching the good-sized new HB (Riazzi). A pointless observation. That's all.

Found a pretty good video breaking down the SoCon. I don't agree with the top 5 but he brings up good points.

My top 5 would be
1Chat
2Citadel
3Wofford
4WCU
5VMI/Mercer

At this point, no two-deep is listed.

Interesting two-deep. Mike Jones is behind Demmel. Will Gay is not on it at all as far as I can see. Maybe he is a little nicked up and coaches are being very cautious with him. To be successful this year WG is a big piece of the puzzle. Colvin as well. He is also important to the O. Pace is backing up McAfee at one HB but McAfee is backing up Windham at the other HB. C. Martin is also very capable with experience. On D Morris is backing up Vining at OLB. I expected Morris to start but maybe he is rusty and needs time to get up to speed. I don't mean to criticize Vining. He is a great player too. Just that I am expecting Morris to be even better. But if you look at the team as a whole the Terriers have a lot of experience. Starters returning in a lot of positions. Other players too who have some experience but are not returning starters.

The media guide does have a few errors, but aside from the omission of WG, I think the depth chart
appears to be fairly accurate at this point.

DB interesting, esp. Lemon, Tillery, and Williams. Time will tell where newcomers or others may fit into this.

Interesting little story: last summer in Florida we ran into a couple of players from Demmel's former high school (they had on Colerain football t-shirts). They spoke with great respect about the kind of player he was while in high school.

In case no one noticed :D, Armfield is missing completely on the depth chart as well, dealing with a minor issue that will be resolved by the time camp opens. So obviously the CB chart will look different by the 1st game.
