Sawvell is emerging rapidly as a scorer, rebounder and leader. Brooks looking confident.

Watching this "GAME" is bizarre. However, we are using it as an opportunity to get our bigs more involved in the offense-which we desperately will need in the next two weeks. If we were hitting the outside shots we would be up by more than 15 at the half, and may have 65 points rather than 52.

Not a good matchup for us against Citadel. MY has both Brooks and Garcia getting a lot of minutes on the floor at the same time to counter their pressure.

We did not play our best tonight (only 5-16 on threes as an example) but we persevered and pulled it out against a tough Citadel press and some refs that must have come out of that Upward Basketball league on 29. As Mike Young said "I'm glad we won." We have anotger tough one at UNCG Monday. We will have to supply our own energy up there.

UNCG on Monday night will be a test for us. They have height and strength in the paint, which we lack. Our bigs will need to do their jobs and let our guards try to do what they do best.

The Terriers were 7-4 on Monday. Now they are 10-4. That was indeed a big week in basketball!

One more to go for this stretch-on Monday night in Greensboro. The forecast is for snow and ice, so it will be interesting to see what happens. UNCG is long and tall, and can give us fits. We need to win this one and then concentrate on the last three league games, one at a time. I think MY said this will be the culmination of six games in 12 days for our guys, and we are 4-1 during that stretch. Our guys are hitting their stride and playing like a veteran team. In the words of Elvis, TCB, baby.

With that quote from The King, you just hit my pantheon, Boulder.
To quote another king, "If we ain't rubbin', it ain't racin'."
May be appropo for tomorrow night's upcoming bangfest.
CJ and company better come to play.

This was an intense physical game, and one that we needed and will serve us well. Hats off to Citadel for their non-stop pressure and intensity; our guys confronted the beast and prevailed. Hard exciting game to watch. Our guys played great team basketball and really gutted it out. Good video.
