Karl Cochran got invited to play in the Portsmouth Invitational up here in Virginia this week. I look forward to getting to watch him play a little more up close this week against other talented seniors.

The worst part is, KC never even got any game time. I'm sure that's got to be tough not even getting a chance to show what you can do in a summer league game. Oh well, onwards and upwards! I'm sure he'll make some European team very happy.

I don't think the Blazers gave him a fair chance by not even looking at him in the Summer League. That is very disappointing. I'm sure Karl had rather stay in the United States than have to move to Europe to play basketball.

Karl was drafted in the third round by the Rio Grande team, which is a farm club of the Rockets. He will have a couple of Clemson players on his team, and there are lots of very good players in this 19 team league. I think Greensboro just announced a team that will start next year. It is a development league for players, coaches, front office managers and officials, and is run by the NBA as a farm team concept. This is a real opportunity for Karl to make a name in the league.

Glad to see the article. However, it doesn't appear that he is getting anymore playing time in the aftermath of a great game. Frustrating for us, it must be for him. The other thing that is frustrating is that in the team bio there is nothing on Karl as far as Wofford and his background. They need a SID!!
HOLD THE PHONE!!!! I just pulled up the latest from the Rio Grande Valley Vipers and it looks like they played LA again, and although they lost, Karl played over 20 minutes and scored 20 (shooting 50%) and got 11 rebounds. He is earning the playing time we know he deserves. By the way, he did not shoot a 3.

Keep grinding KC, and they will realize what we already know. You are a big time player in a small package!

Thanks for keeping up, Boulder. I need to starting paying more attention. And I think there is a way to watch D-League games online. I need to look into that.
