GAMEDAY!!!!!!!

Postby 19TERRIER19 on Sat Oct 31, 2015 11:15 am

Another opportunity to get better and build towards a strong finish to the season. We have bickered and haggled through frustrations over the last few weeks, time to get back and rally with our squad. Can't only choose to support in times of championships and banners, it's seasons like these that you build character and grow so that when those titles and Championships come, you can truly appreciate the road it took to get there. That being said, I am looking for some angry Dogs to hit the field today. Lets fly around and play loose, we have nothing to lose. Open the playbook, let's play hard, fast and physical. Turn the dogs loose and let em rip. Great opportunity for the young players to get quality time in, and game experience. LEts go get us a W.

Excited for another opportunity to win the Day. In our family we don't take any of them for granted, same rings true today. Blessed to be here and have another chance to do something special. Each yard, every minute, it all matters, regardless of records and expectations, some things you cannot control in life, but you can control the manner in which you choose to approach and attack life each day. Lets go fight and get after it........

Except for the awful field that stopped Colvin.

Looking at the positives of this incredible injury epidemic- We have a bunch of young guys who are getting playing time who wouldn't have gotten it this year. We have found a few gems in the young guys, and sometimes you wonder if they would have been discovered and given a chance (see Tim Duncan). Great experience for our youngsters.
We need to keep their defense on the field and let Zo and the gang wear them out.

14-10 at the half, and we get the ball first. 229 yards rushing and zero pass attempts.
Soccer is also leading VMI at the half. 2-0.

VMI certainly can't run the ball on our defense, but I'm a bit concerned about the pass defense and the poor tackling after the catch. The O line is on the money today, as is the running game........not a single pass so far.......hummmm! Let's see what adjustments we see in the second half. Field looks a bit ratty............!

Can't help but be impressed by our runners. With so many injuries we are hauling the mail. Usually 9 or so in the stats column. Today only about 5-6. The O-Line is doing a job, and Jacks is solid at QB. Looking for a 500 yd rushing day. BTW- not happy that the ESPN3 feed is almost 10 minutes behind live time. Gave up on it and will go with radio only.
