At VMI 10-31

VMI's offense rolled over Mercer today. http://www.vmikeydets.com/ViewArticle.d ... EM_ID=9800
Pass D will have its hands full, and need to focus on offense. At least VMI won't have an extra week to prepare.

One thing for sure is that I have not given up on my team and I am not disappointed in the effort from the players and the coaches. And I admit the coaches have made questionable decisions this season. I am extremely disappointed in the season although it is not over yet. It was easy to see that they were giving everything they had in the Mocs game. A W would have been great but it just wasn't to be. So be it !!!!! We still have a chance at a winning season. GO TERRIERS !!!!

Love the effort from the players. They definitely have heart. But this season is a disaster. Beyond disappointed.

VMI gave Chatty a tough game. This won't be an easy win. If the defense plays like they did today, we should walk out with a victory.

If it's a pretty day that drive up to Lexington, Va would be beautiful this Saturday. May have to take a picnic and support our guys.

if we play like we did Saturday, minus the turnovers, we have a great chance to win this one. If we do turn the ball over we open ourselves up to yet another loss. Not earth shattering commentary, but true.

Stated another way, it doesn't matter how well our defense plays if our offense is inept.
Only 3 games left - I would hope the wrinkles would have beeen ironed out by now.

One would think but it is as if we are still trying to figure out what works offensively and we are near the end of the season. Starting a different QB week in and week out is indicative of the problem. You can run a two QB system in our offense to help with fatigue. But you can't keep changing the starting QB based on consistency in practice etc. or who knows what else and hope to be successful. This was supposed to be the year we would "be back". Instead we have taken a step backwards and from where we were that is not good. Yes we have been depleted by injuries but we should be better. Much better. The sad thing is that I think the effort of the players is as good as it has ever been.

http://woffordterriers.com/documents/20 ... tes_15.pdf Notes, etc. Many on injury list, including TJ.

Weather man says mid 50's and no rain. Hmm, it is a pretty drive up there.

very good read. And very true. Imagine a bounce or 2 heading our way. Smh. Cruel reality of football. Those bounces make and break a season.

Focus, and don't turn it over. Pin ears back and have some fun. Keep looking out for your teammates, who deserve your best. There is plenty of talent and fight in this bunch.

Weather: 59 degrees, no rain.

It's a good time to purge the last three losses from memory and just focus on this one. The season as a whole may be frustrating, but the final three games will be what this team makes of it. Something can be salvaged.

Our team on two buses went by me on I-77 near Statesville this afternoon. The WOFFORD bus looks great and is some nice advertising. They probably were scheduled to arrive around 3:30 to 4. Go Dogs.
