I love our pitching. It looks like it might be the best in the conference, and that's always a great start for having a winning baseball team. The opposition isn't nearly as likely to beat you if they don't score a lot. But I am a little concerned about our offense going into the 2016 season. We lost a number of good hitters, though we also return a few as well. We also have very little power. We were last in the conference in home runs last season, and we have lost a lot of the hitters that were responsible for the home runs that we did hit last year. We will have to win games by manufacturing runs. Fortunately, that is something we continue to get better and better at under Coach I. We are always very aggressive on the bases and we lead the nation in stolen bases last season. This is a trend that will need to continue. Our pitching should give us a chance to win most days. Can we muster enough offense? I think we'll be fine. I expect us to win a lot of close, low scoring games. That can make for some exciting baseball too. You don't have to hit the ball out of the park to be successful and fun to watch, and I think our guys will be both.
