Saw this in the P & C write up of GSU v El Cid game... "The Citadel earned a guarantee of $175,000 for Saturday’s game."

I'm sure this post doesn't belong in this thread; and I'm sure it is petty; HOWEVER, Elon has reached a new low in its loss to NC A&T. That's two really bad programs flailing away on a perfect day to score 3 times. Yep, the CAA is right where Elon should be, because the Carolinas Conference wouldn't have them.

The conference doesn't seem overly intimidating so far this season. Even Chatty appears beatable, especially at home. We'll still need nearly a perfect game to do that though....

Chatty
FU
Sammy
Cid
WCU
Mercer
VMI
Is how I would rank the strength of our conference schedule and even then anybody can beat anybody else on a given day.
FU people are sky high. FU coaches are whispering about a conference title. They may be right.

Makes sense. No doubt Chatt, FU, and Sammy have a good chance to beat anyone else in the league. I put us in that group too. Whoever wins the league this year will need to have a little luck and help/surprises from other teams in the league.

Pretty much as expected, except I thought VMI would win. We might be Idaho's only win this season. :(

Impressive win by GW; Coastal is way overrated; Chatty is probably underrated; most of the rest of the Big South and Socon are very mediocre. Presbyterian gave Coastal a tough game. Liberty was thought to be better than they showed. No one has more key injuries than Wofford. On any given Saturday...

Once again, we see what many have been saying. There is Chatty; there is The Citadel; and then there's the rest of the SoCon. As for the Big South, I still think Coastal is overrated and Charleston Southern underrated. Furman is fading-saw that they even pulled Hannon. That Idaho won another Sun Belt Conference game and is having their best season in the conference ever. GW seems to be fading. It's a good year to be a fan of a coastal SC team.

Boy, another heartbreaking game for Mercer. Needed a two point conversion to take El Cid into OT, but failed. Lots of close losses.

As I predicted weeks ago, Coastal was very overrated. While Chuck South just hung on at the end, they were ahead most of the game and often by two scores. Chuck must be the real deal, while Coastal may be the third place team in coastal SC. Chatty will be at least third in the nation, and could well be the best team. Idaho won again, and is actually having a pretty good year.

Mercer up by 10 on Chatty going into the 4th. Can they hold on?

Western rolling all over Furman.

Citadel pulled away from VMI late.

Samford played something called Clark Atlanta.
