Fornes definitely looks like an interesting prospect and one of the more highly rated players we've pursued. Here's his recruiting profile
http://247sports.com/Player/Jaylen-Fornes-76751 per 247. Given his offer list, we seem to be one of the more competitive schools that have offered him (Buffalo lost their coach, George Mason hasn't been very good recently in the A10 and while K State has Bruce Weber and plays in the Big 12, they're a long way from Raleigh, already have two SGs in the class ahead of him and have offered 9 other SGs, any of which would likely take Fornes roster spot if they commit before Fornes). Honestly, I've been waiting a good amount of time for us to pursue some more highly rated prospects after our recent runs of conference success and NCAA appearances. Whether we get commitments from these higher level players or not, at the very least we need to be in pursuit of them if we ever want to take our program to the next level and have more consistent success against FBS-level schools. MY has shown how well he and his staff can develop the less-recruited, overlooked players so just imagine what he could do with some prime-time players...
