Probably a good move for Wade. It's a step up into a prime mid-major job where he has experience and they appreciate his system. Definitely a move based on past affinity instead of current performance. It will be interesting to see which direction Chattanooga goes with this.

Also intresting to see what Tuoyo does after transferring from VCU to Chatty to follow Wade.

The guy may not have the ability eligibility wise to transfer again- not 100% sure about how the rules on that work ( if red shirts are allowed, etc).

He could always graduate and transfer penalty-free.

I think the rule is you have 5 years to use your 4 years of eligibility. I believe he has used 2 years of eligibility while having been at VCU/Chatt for a total of 3 years (1 year playing at VCU, transfer year, 1 year at Chatt). I'm not sure he's in a position to graduate just yet, especially with the transfer (depending on how credits transfer between schools) so we might have to deal with him for at least another year. He would be a huge loss for Chatt to fill though- while I don't like playing him, I always hate to see talent leave the league and make the league worse. Wouldn't be surprised to see him play out this year with everyone they're returning and then grad transfer after next year when UTC graduates a ton (Jones, Pryor, Ethridge, Robertson). Also, looking at UTC's roster, it seems hard to pick against them as favorites going into next year- they return so many folks.

Have they named a new coach? It is usually hard on any team to go through a coaching staff change.

UTC named Matt McCall their new HC. He was an assistant on Billy Donovan's staff at Florida.

McCall seems like a great hire for UTC. They will continue to be a contender.
