We won again 9-6 to go to 22-7. The all important SoCo record remains at 2-1.

I got a chance to watch today's game online from my hotel in Dothan, AL as today is my off day this week from the outage at Farley Nuclear Plant that I am currently working. The Terriers (23-7, 2-1) were able to hand on for a 6-4 victory over the North Carolina Central University Eagles (11-15) and complete a sweep of the three game weekend series at King Field. The Terriers used both speed and power on offense. Wofford stole five more based to bring their total to 80 SBs this season. Within the SoCon, WCU is next closest with 39 SBs coming into today's games. Alec Paradowski hit his second HR and Kody Ruedisilli hit his fifth. On the mound, freshman lefty Adam Scott (4-1) had another great outing as he pitched 7 2/3 innings for the win. Will Stillman struggled a bit, but picked up his tenth save. The game ended when a NCCU batter lined out to first and a runner was doubled off. The schedule gets much tougher now, as we travel to defending National Champion Vanderbilt for two midweek games before facing one of the league favorites WCU in Cullowhee in a three game conference series this weekend. So it was great to get a win any way we could today.

Big week for Terrier baseball. We'll see what they are made of this week facing Vandy and WCU. Best of luck to Coach I and his bunch of short haired dogs. Go Terriers.

If we could split with Vandy and more importantly take two of three from WCU I would be ecstatic! Heck, even if we only won the 2 against WCU I would be really happy!

Vandy is currently ranked #1. Ranked #3 in another poll. A win would be so sweet.

Well, we didn't embarrass ourselves against the number one team and that's nice. But I think the concept of a moral victory is stupid. We lost two baseball games. We definitely could have (should have?) won one of them. Hopefully we can rebound in a very important SoCon series against WCU this weekend.

VMI took one from UVA ranked #9. SoCon athletics as a whole is a lot better than people outside the SoCon think it seems. What is so maddening is that when the so-called inferior team wins a game against the so-called superior team the 'experts' say stuff like 'Florida State got off to a slow start and made a lot of mistakes against FCS opponent XXXXXXXX (fill in the blank)' instead of giving the FCS team some credit for playing well and having a good team.

Makes me feel a little better about Terrier baseball. GO TERRIERS !!!!!

We may win more games than the Braves this year

We win 15-8 at UNC Asheville. That's all well and good, but we need to get it done in conference this weekend in Chucktown against The Citadel. It was very disappointing (and unfortunately reminiscent of some seasons past) the way we collapsed and ended up losing big against WCU in that last game in Cullowhee. We must do better against our conference brethren because most of the remaining games are SoCon tilts. The last thing we want is another April-May swoon after a great February-March. Been there, done that!
