I was at both of those games and they were both classics, for different reasons. The butt kicking in 1992 was the year after our first big win down there and they let us have it, but not without a bunch of Wofford students sporting Shannon Faulkner masks. The 1993 game The Citadel was highly ranked in the pre-season I-AA poll and we absolutely demolished them. I remember somebody on our defense rang Everette Sands' bell so hard I think the reverberations rang the bell at St. Michael's, too.

Up 31-25 at half. Karl sat most of the half with 2 fouls- not sure I like that. Think you probably need to trust your senior not to pick up his 3rd. We're getting hosed on the block/charge calls and the refs aren't being consistent whatsoever. I'm watching the video feed on SDN and their commentators are clueless about both teams and basketball- they don't seem to know that Garcia was hurt last time we played them. Oh well, it's SoCon basketball- I'm just happy we have a lead right now

Glad I am watching on mute and listening on woli to Thom and Mark. Skinner and Cochran both missed lots of time with two fouls. We have had big leads and need to build it back. With Garcia the press is a non factor. Totally different with EG in the game. Turn up the heat, Terriers. Has that bus arrived yet?

Up 12, just under 12 to play. Don't forget this team made a big comeback last time. Need to keep our defensive intensity up and keep being patient for good shots.

Am I the only one who finds it strange that they advertise their games by just showing the coaches yelling at the refs?
Class of '07. GDI with very few athletic skills to speak of.

Agreed. I was halfway expecting them to show Bartow pushing Collins...not much to be proud of IMHO. Glad we are putting this one away and leaving no doubt.

We won by 10. Good win. They tried to come back again, they're a team you can't sleep on defensively

Unlike the game at Wofford, for some reason I never felt this game was in doubt. We just missed a bunch of free throws that could have put the game away. The one thing I really didn't like was our guys fouling them when we are trying to keep the clock running. It was a good win. Wish Furman could have knocked off Chatty, but they lost in OT. Our big guys did a great job. Skinner got jobbed on at least three calls that he established himself and was run over. He was a MAN!!! CJ did a great job, and once again our freshman, Cam Jackson, did his thing in limited minutes. Good win on the road and much needed. On to Lexington for an early game on Saturday.

We kept throwing the ball away at the end- just let them foul you and take a timeout if you need it. The telegraphed cross-court pass consistently led to an easy steal and bucket on the other end. Need our veteran leadership to teach the youngsters about taking care of the ball.

OK, probably not our best effort tonight. But we won by double figures on the road against a pretty good team. That's saying something when we can do that without our A game. At the end of the night, we did what we had to do to earn another conference victory.

Shannon Faulkner! The girl who broke the gender barrier at The Citadel. I had forgotten all about her! Boy, were they mad about her coming to their school. As I recall, she didn't last very long there and ended up at USC Upstate (then USCS) soon afterwards. I bet they were terrible to that poor girl!
