Would really love to have Rebekah Dahlman as a Wofford Terrier. We have an excellent freshman class coming in, and Rebekah would help make the ladies a serious contender in the next few years. Would get a great education too ... would make a great Richardson scholar.

Rebekah has now scored more points, 4000, than her brothers.

Noah tweeted out a link to an article written about him and his family. We know the story but still cool to see it getting press overseas. Here is the link that google translates it into English from the Bulgarian.

Really neat to see the article translated into English. Noah Dahlman is one of the finest gentlemen who has worn our old gold and black. Not only was he a player, he was a Wofford ambassador, and continues that around the world. Coach Young has a lot to be proud of in the long list of players who he has brought to Wofford.

I hope we are blessed at some point to have Noah return to campus full time. True ambassador of what is good and true about Wofford.

If anyone is interested, Noah just updated his site for his annual summer basketball camp in Spartanburg. My son went this past summer and had a great time and learned a lot. Nothing like getting instruction from one of Wofford's greatest players. Very reasonable price on both half and full day camps.

Are there plans to retire Noah's #42 jersey?

Should have been done already. No one on Earth can convince me that it isn't an abject travesty that this hasn't already been done. Same goes for the #7 in football which is equally shameful.

My guess is that they would like to have him there if they did retire his jersey. Since he is several thousand miles away during the season...

They need to set up a Noah Dahlman night where they retire his jersey as soon as next year's basketball schedule comes out so Noah can makes plans to be here well in advance. The guy was one that was largely responsible for taking Wofford basketball to unprecedented success while he was here and he deserves it. On the jersey retirement topic, Wofford needs to do the same thing with EB next year- plan an EB day now! He 's only the best player ever at Wofford in my opinion, yes, even better than Shawn Graves (debatable I know).

Ah, in due time, my friends, in due time. On both fronts.
Aside from the "best player" moniker (both have an arguable comparison in Graves and Big Daddy Neal BTW), Noah and EB epitomize what a Short Haired Dog or Wofford student athlete should be: selfless, team oriented, talented (on and off the field), humble, articulate, intelligent, and appreciative of the opportunity to be a part of Wofford. They are leaders on and off the playing surface and are good people, first and foremost. THIS is why IMO they deserve to receive the ultimate athletic honor of having their number retired and why they are 2 of my all time favorites. I would put Mitch Allen and Brad Loesing in that category as well.
Sometimes it's best to wait a while before the whole retirement thing is done. I may be stepping on some toes here but IMO #1 was retired too quickly given his "troubles" which thankfully he perservered through and seems a better man. Not that people can't and don't make mistakes, it is for this type of reason that EB and Noah are the gold standard in my book.
