The bullpen tried to blow it but we rallied from behind and Kirkley
wins it with a homer in the 8th.

Hang in there dogs and keep outslugging them!

In the early season when you're playing 7 inning games against the snowbirds you can go from your starter to your closer and get away with it most of the time. However in nine inning conference games you need to use your staff to keep the lead and offset the opposition. our strategy is still starter to closer. We need to utilize middle relief. From the fifth or sixth inning on we should have two up and getting loose. When the starter falters put the middle reliever in and get someone up to throw in his place. If he struggles, put in the next man, then the next etc. Then when it is closer time, bring him in with a fresh arm to throw heat. This would be more preferable than expecting your closer to go 3 and two thirds not feeling up to it!

Still over .500 for the season and should edge out GSU!

Wofford 2-8 conf 18-17 overall
GSU 2-8 conf 19-19 overall

17 runs in the 6th inning- if you like offense, it was a heck of a show.
