Big blowout over a team that just swept a doubleheader from
Davidson and lost to Furman 6-5 in extra innings.

Cole, Vartanian, and Chip Hunt all pitched. To all you naysayers I
think its about time to get excited. GO TERRIERS!!

Nice win. Really nice to win a midweek game which shows the depth of the pitching staff. Now the Terriers need some of those teams they've beaten to start winning some games to help the SOS and RPI.

Good win for the Terriers! We have certainly been playing well. While all signs point toward a different outcome to our seasons in recent years, I'll reserve my excitement for SoCon wins. Conference play is a whole new season and a different ballgame altogether.

I can't speak for Jesse Cole, but Charles Vartanian feels great. He threw 26 pitches. He stayed around 89MPH which is pretty good on his first outing in over a year. His change looked good. "HE'S BAAAAAACK" :yay:

Thanks, Growler, for that update on Vartanian. That is really a shot
in the arm for us.

If Chip Hunt can come on strong, we should have enough depth to
avoid overworking our bullpen.

Chip threw well on Wednesday, he got into a bit of a jam, but pitched out of it okay. He'll be fine. I think the big issue with our bullpen isn't talent, we've got talent. The issue is confidence. If nobody shows any interest or belief in you, you then start to doubt yourself. Case in point look what being confident has done for Lance Player, He's pitching lights out. But you know what he always had, but now others believe in him and it carried through his mound appearances. You can make or break an individual by your actions or inactions, your praise or lack of it!
