Round 2 is up. ChickGos picked 7 out of 8 in the first round to claim the early lead.

I hope no one has quit paying attention. Too much exciting stuff is still going on. After all, who would have thought that GSU would emulate the Terriers and give up 35 unanswered points. At least Wofford pulled out their win, but I hardly think you can compare G-W to Texas State. Under any circumstance, I hated to see the Eagles lose because an upset like that would have been good for the conference.

Either way, I'm all for the conference. Hopefully, Furman and Appalachian can both win and assure the SoCon of a shot at the title.

But, fear not, the Terriers will be back next year.

Forget? While good football is still being played? You must be joking.

I actually caught the last half (in person) of the FU-NSU game on Saturday. The Paladins looked better in the second half than it sounded like they played in the first half. Good luck against Richmond- they look like a 60-minute team from the Hampton win.

And, unlike South Carolina in so many years past, we Terriers can say "wait until next year" with some degree of confidence- nothing like having a lot of returning starters.

I hope I'm never confused for a Gamecock fan, but I appreciate the sentiment. I think next year we will start to see the impact of the higher level of recruits Wofford has landed over the last couple years.
