3/23,-25, -26, -27 ...PC, then three at home with Bellhops

After being swept at home by Furples, time to regroup.

Yeah we need a good week however, Citadel is never a slouch. They seem to be strugging a little this year and they are coming off a series loss to Davidson. They will be ready to go and our boys need to be as well. We have played them tough in recent years and 2 wins this weekend could give us a much needed confidence boost. We really need to get the bats going because I have been very pleased with the pitching so far.

I'm sure "coach" will have them ready to go...or he will act like a child and pout all week and the kids will have to win in spite of him!

Well, looks like we dropped our midweek game to PC 6-4. We had 11 hits today which isn't terrible, but couldn't score enough. Need a good weekend.

Haha, yeah this train could go downhill in a hurry if we aren't carefull. Oh and by the way, welcome to the grind of the season. It doesn't get easier from here folks.

Yea we really need to be back on track and not downhill for this weekend. Being swept by a bunch of "Bellhops" would not be good.

It seems as if the object of this weekend is to "not get swept", meaning that losing two of three would be considered a success. The bar is pretty low for this program.

Looks like Mac & Cash pretty much carried the team. It was a great win, but the other guys need to step it up.....9 LOB
I know this great "theory" about righty-lefty match-ups....but I don't buy it.
Why would you DH a .250 hitter & put a .239 hitter in the outfield when your .373 hitter with a .500 OBP (fastest guy on the team) is sitting and watching?

Oh you didn't know that leftys can't hit lefty pitchers!! Its in the rule book. Also LOB is not an important stat! Haha!......(Just a hint of sarcasm!)

I was a HUGE Bobby Cox fan and always thought he was an outstanding manager, but I used to HATE when he would repeatedly try to play these lefty/righty matchups at the plate. You have to go with the hot bat 100% of the time!

Yes I agree, go with the hot guy or the better guy. If it is an absolute toss up, then play the matchup. It's not rocket science, "coach"

Cash has gotten better and better each year. It is fun to watch him progress. Having a great season and a great kid. Hopefully the terriers can play well on Sunday and get two wins!
