Time to open up the SoCon schedule and it would be nice to open with a road win.

To date, UNC-G is 1-4, with losses to Marshall, Penn State, Duke and East Carolina, and a win over Gardner-Webb.

With that schedule, I have no idea what to expect from the game tonight on their home court, but it would be great to start conference schedule with a win.

GO TERRIERS!

Who is Mejia? What did he predict for the Cincy game?

Mejia's a CBS Sportsline guy. He tries to predict the scores to all the games each day. He picked Wofford to lose by 14 points against Cincy.

Sounds like the best bet for a team is for him to pick against them.

Mejia is very good. So far this year he has picked the winner 77.3% of the time. He got all the Southern Conference game right tonight. His most accurate call tonight was USC over Citadel. He had it 76-56. It was actually 74-59. The only Davidson game he has missed so far this year was the Missouri game (he had Davidson winning by 6).

Tough loss for the T-Dogs.

Hope this is an abberation and not the start of the same old trend (play close in the money games and get blown out in conference play).

Nichols came in as the team's leading scorer for the season (18.7 per game), but he has been forced to take Gibson's spot at point guard and hasn't been able to get as many open looks at the basket.

I would give anything, just once, for us to go deep into a season with all of our starters healthy. For some reason, we seem to get into conference play every year with one key player out.

I did not listen to the game last night. Did Gibson re injure his hamstring or was he trying to come back too soon?

We have a brutal December coming up. We really need a solid conference win tomorrow night.

Gobson tried to play, but was hobbled with the hamstring pretty early in the game and had to come out. Coach Young thought that put a damper on the rest of the team from there on out, per the Herald Journal article today.

So did we injure him further? Any idea when when returns (healthy)?

Like most hamstring injuries, I'm not sure anyone knows for sure. Apparently both Drew and Mike Young thought he was ready to go. Unfortunately, he came out after only 1:12 into the first half.

My only source of info today is Mike Young's quote in the Herald Journal article on the game:

"… It's just going to take some time (with Gibson), as hamstrings sometimes do. But we'll grin and bear it. We'll fight and find ways to win games without him."
