Samford game

Postby lawdog on Fri Dec 05, 2008 10:39 pm

We dropped a home game to Samford last night by about 5. We shot the ball much better and apparently played pretty well until the last minute or two. Mo was 5 for 5, but spent too much time on the bench again, apparently, with foul trouble. Dempsey is coming alive inside....keep it uo.

We outscored them big from the floor, but had 24 turnovers to their 9, and hit 7 free throws to their 18. Our guard play needs major work, as does our fouling.

That is too bad. I look forward to reading the details of the Fordham game. They have more talent than that (for once) and I hope they can pull it together.

The women's team looked to be on the rise a couple years ago. Talent appeared to be improving and the coaching seemed solid. I even gave them their own forum here on the boards. Last year was a little of a letdown and this year has been a huge disappointment so far. Plenty of time to turn it around though.

24 turnovers will kill you. Not going to beat many teams with that
