SPARTANBURG, SC – Wofford third baseman Brandon Waring and shortstop Mike Gilmartin have each earned more honors after helping to lead the Terrier baseball team to the Southern Conference Tournament Championship and a berth in the NCAA Regionals.

On Wednesday, Waring was named as one of 20 quarterfinalists for the Brooks Wallace Award, given annually by the College Baseball Foundation to the nation’s top college baseball player. Waring was among the initial group of 112 players considered for the honor and was also among the top 30 hopefuls.

Gilmartin was named to the Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America team as chosen by Collegiate Baseball.
