BoB, thanks for the link.
I've been reading recently where no future Davidson student will leave school owing money for a student loan. In other words, if S/He is admitted to school, there will be money provided by the school to cover any shortfalls the student may have in paying tuition based on need. It's always good to have a large endowment! Again, this is any Davidson student. My only question is how does this affect "athletic" scholarships. Could a moderate income (or less) student be recruited for baseball or ......, get into school, be provided no athletic scholarship money, and then be provided money by the college as a "need" student? Would this distort the "apples to apples" athletic scholarship comparisons we all make on the various boards? I'm not attempting to knock Davidson. it's a great school and this new program. as I understand it, is something we all should consider if we can afford it. But the question about athletic scholarships came to mind. I'm sure you guys can set me straight on this.
