Game 1 to Furman 11-2.

Not much to say at this point that hasn't already been said.

There's a lot to be said but I'm going to wait until the series is over.

Looks like a double header on Sunday.

Terriers win first game of doubleheader against Furman, 9-6 in 10 innings.

Man, I would love to get our second 2-win series of the year against Furman- not to mention that it would give them a harder road to avoid the one-game elimination series to begin the Tournament.

Go Terriers!

6-1 Terrier win in a 7-inning game.

What a great time to find the power and the pitching to take 2 games from Furman and win the series.

Great effort by the players today in the doubleheader. =D>

Great wins by the Terriers. I made the games with my wife. It was her 1st baseball game ever. Maybe she has the good mojo?

How sweet it is!! A twin bill win over the purps is better than grits!

Boy, did we owe them this after last season's massacre. Congrats
to Eric Sturkie for his clutch homer and to Ben Austin for a well-
pitched complete game. Also, hats off to Waring for becoming our
all time homer champ.

It doesn't get much better than this. GO DOGS!!

With our final games against Clemson, WCU (3), and Elon(3), no one expects much out of us, including I'm sure athletic administration. If we win one more I'll be suprised. As happy as I am we won the series against Furman, does anyone think this series win may have saved Traylor's job in the process?

If he is on the hot seat, I would hope that one series would not be used as the qualifier to keep him (or get rid of him if the case was reversed). If administration is going to make a move here, they should look at the entire season and trend of the program.

I don't know about Traylor's status but, in my book, if any one series
CAN save him, it's the Furman series. The double win against those
guys is the best tonic I can imagine.
