Game one loss 1-8, not enough offense!
Game two loss 8-9, too many faux pas to mention, another give away!

Still ahead of GSU but not by much!

All alone in dead last after GSU won today :(

It's bad enough Wofford has to take the field at a disadvantage in scholarships but it's really a shame they have such a disadvantage in the dugout too.

I'm certainly not as "well-connected" when it comes to what's going on within the Athletic Dept. as some posters here seem to be, but have there been any signs yet that regime change may be imminent if things do not improve by the end of the season?

"NOPE WE"RE STILL ABOVE GSU"

"BACK TO .500 ON THE SEASON"

By the way you can't blame that loss on the bullpen. it was fielding and failed sacrifices...

We finally did it! Spartans score two in the ninth to make it 9-8 and
then their clean-up man, Orton, flies out to center to end the game.
Talk about a much needed win!

Congrats to Mike Gilmartin on his game winning homer. He has got
to be one of the best players in the SoCon--and he's only a freshman.

We have got to get some scholarship money to come up with some
pitching for next year.

Frankly, 1-2 in this series against UNC-G with one of the losses in 13 innings is about as good as expected. We play Tennessee next Wednesday, and then a series against Furman, away at Georgia, and a series with Ga. Southern.

If we're going to do anything decent with the rest of our SoCon schedule, it will be in those two series, unless lightning strikes against Western Carolina and Elon. I would hope to see us win a minimum of two games each against Furman and GSU- we should be capable of getting that done.
