Injured pitchers

Postby terriers on Mon Feb 26, 2007 3:36 pm

Even though its still early, I am excited about the performance of our
baseball team. Three starters, Redwine, Austin, and Parmer, have
all looked sharp.

Can anyone give us an update on Vartanian and a possible return
date? We are going to need him down the stretch. Also, is Jesse
Cole definitely out for the year?

Vartanian has been healing nicely. He has an appointment with his Orthopaedic Doctor on Thursday. Pending the outcome of that appointment he could be ready to go by the time we start conference play.

Great news, Growler. Bring on the SoCon. Hope Chip Hunt plays too

I strongly agree! We have a lot of "PITCHERS" that can fill the bill for quality innings in relief. What better time would there be to get our Freshmen some mound time so they'll be ready if needed!

Chip Hunt, JR
Dawson Smith, JR
Whit Kennedy, SO
Reid Mc Elveen, SO
Ryan Conway, FR
Tom Dolinak, FR
Andrew Chilcoat, FR

And no I didn't forget Geoff Taylor, But He's in Rehab

Wasn't Chip Hunt the lefthander that pitched so well against the
Gamecocks in Columbia a couple of years ago?
