However I'm still pulling for our Terriers!

I don't really have a personal affiliation to any branch of the armed services, but I do enjoy playing the Academies (with the possible exception of that thrashing Air Force put on is in football in 2003).

We used to play Army and Navy (winning a few) regularly in baseball and we beat Air Force one time too. Anyway, it's always nice to play against classy institutions.

That being said, I hope we only win by one run in our games against them.

Thatthrashing by the Air Force in 2003 was just a lesson in how to run
the wingbone administered by my old roommate, Fisher DeBerry. He
had us out to his home the day before, said a beautiful blessing, fed
us well, and then took us to school to prepare us for the season. It
obviously worked as we went 12-2.

Love playing the academies including El Cid.

I hope Fisher's enjoying his retirement- he certainly earned it. =D>

I understand lessons, and yes, it obviously helped, but I'd hoped we'd have scored in that one. But, if we had to get thrashed, at least it was by family.

We've fared better in I-A games since then. Hopefully, that trend will continue this September in Raleigh.

Raleigh is just up yhe interstate from here and we are already planning
to have an entorage there. That should be the best opener we have
had since Air Force, hopefully, with a much happier ending.

Walk off 3 run shot in the bottom of the 10th by Eric Sturkie.

Terriers win game 1!!!

Army 3
Wofford 6
Final

Btw, they faced one of the better starting pitchers they'll face this season in this game and still hung around to get the win.

Very impressive win today. Army is the preseason favorite to win the
Patriot Conference. Nick Hill, the pitcher we beat today, is an All-
American. Army won the Patriot Conference in 2004 & 2005. Looks
like the Terriers may be for real.

I wish I could be there. I'll be in Boston for a conference that weekend. I might have to catch a Red Sox game to easy my pain about missing the Terreirs/Wolfpack game.

Wofford wins the 1st game today 5-2. Mental mistakes cost the Terriers in the 2nd game as Army came from behind to win 4-3. Wofford wins the series 2-1.

Yeah the "Real Deal" like avoiding the front and letting Citadel and VMI Officers actually lead men in battle while you write books about it, or pass out socks and drawers from the Quartermastrs Corps!

WANNABE? I never once even considered going to Camp on the Hudson! I had the FINEST Military College on this PLANET 3 miles from my home! And Single-gender too! Not like the watered down USMA, USNA, and USAFA's were at that time!
